Michael J. Thompson, age 70, died at home in Brighton, Colorado on March 11, 2017. The cause was complications due to liver cancer. Born October 28, 1946 in Portland, Oregon. He lived in Walnut, California and after some college he moved to Colorado, and worked at Storage Tech. He was eventually the owner and operator of a dump truck, and eventually worked for Johnson Auto Plaza until retiring in 2013. Michael enjoyed boating, he has two, and really enjoyed street rodding. This was something he shared with his family, especially his three grandsons. Survivors include Carol Thompson wife of 40 years, Shelly Ericson daughter, Tim Ericson son-in-law, Justin Ericson grandson, Trevor Erickson grandson, Bret Ericson grandson, Abby Ericson great granddaughter, Khloe Erickson great granddaughter, Linda Watkins sister, Ray & Temple Watkins nephews. Michael was preceded in death by Beverly O'Reilly mother, Wayne Mathews step-father, and John Thompson father. Private services held on March 14, 2017.
