Michaela Frederick

Michaela Rose Frederick, age 10, of Commerce City, CO, went to heaven on June 17th, 2022.

Michaela was born on August 7th, 2011, in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Adam and Kristy (Borton) Frederick. She was a 5th grader at Reunion Elementary and a junior in Girl Scouts, Troop 66794. She loved music, snuggles, her friends, and her service dog, Evie. Her smile was infectious, and her personality would light up the room. She taught so many people so many things without saying a word.

She is survived by her parents, Adam and Kristy, service dog, Evie, grandparents, Sandra (Dimich) Tunnell (Washington, IL), Rick and Janet (Schultz) Borton (Orchardville, IL), Aunt and Uncles, Teri Richie (East Peoria, IL), Brian Frederick (Sanger, CA), Jennifer (Bill) Welsh (Minneapolis, MN), Jill (Buck) Thomas (Champaign, IL), Darcy (John) Hitchcock (Gulf Breeze, FL), Lacy (Brett) Rentfrow (Orchardville, IL), many cousins, and a village of people who loved and cared for her. She was preceded in death by her grandpas, Jim Tunnell (Washington, IL) and Edwin Frederick (Peoria, IL).

Her Celebration of Life will take place at the Anchor Center in Denver, CO, on Saturday, June 25th, at 11 am. A visitation and memorial service will take place at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington, IL, on July 2nd, starting at 10 am. Burial will take place in Orchardville, IL, on Friday, July 8th. Those wishing to honor her life can make a donation in her name to the Anchor Center for Blind Children, LuBird’s Light Foundation, and Colorado Foundation for Conductive Education.
