Mildred Cox Johnson

JOHNSON, MILDRED COX 95, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 26, 2009. She was born on Nov. 25, 1913 in Corpus Christi, Texas, where she graduated from high school and business school. She then moved to San Antonio, where she worked at Fort Sam Houston and met her husband, Finis Garrett Johnson. They were married after his return from WWII on Dec. 20, 1945. Mildred will be buried on May 12 at 11:00 AM at Arlington National Cemetery beside her husband, where a graveside service will take place. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bill Elkjer, of Denver, Colorado; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
