This marriage was blessed with three children: Gordon (Pat) Swangel of Chino Hills, California, Carol (Larry) Fayer of Highlands Ranch, Colorado and Ginger (Steve) Ham of Evergreen, Colorado. They had six grandchildren: Pamela Lee and Mark Swangel, Gregory Fayer and Lisa Butler and Caleb and Erika Ham. She obtained her real estate license and sold real estate on a part time basis around Bell Gardens, California. In 1961, Warren and Millie moved back to Montezuma, Iowa, where they owned and ran the Swangel Motel. She managed and cared for the motel while Warren ran a very successful roofing business. She was an active member of the West Liberty Church of Christ. In 1991, Warren and Millie retired and moved to Colorado so that they could be closer and more involved in the lives of their two daughters and their families. She became an active member of the Miller Street Church of Christ in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Recently, she had been living at the Libby Bortz Assisted Living Center in Littleton, Colorado. Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Warren who died in 2008, parents Herman and Cora Johannes and all nine of her siblings: Harley, Pearl Minner, Glenna, Zella Hockey, Della, Illa, Phyllis, Herman ""Junior"" and Harlan.
