Minekichi Espinoza

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Minekichi Espinoza (Mick) at Sky Ridge Hospital on Tuesday March 3, 2020. He died peacefully with his much loved wife, JoAnn and children (Deveny, Eric and Scott) by his side.

Beloved husband and best friend of JoAnn Day-Espinoza.

Loving father of Deveny (Jason) Oberheu, Eric (Laurie) Day and Scott (Erica) Day.

Extremely proud and loving grandfather of Logan Oberheu, Locklynn Oberheu, Emmitt Day, Collin Day and Anabella Day. Mick's grandchildren were truly the love and joy of his life.

He was predeceased by his parents, Sumiko and Anthony and his brother Anthony and sister Tina. He is survived by his loving sisters, Katie, Dory, Penny, Sue and Lisa and brothers, Joe, Toby and Eddie.

He is fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.

Mick was a wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was funny, strong, independent, and fiercely loyal to his family. His greatest pleasure came from helping others and he was always willing to lend a hand or listen without ever asking anything in return.

Mick loved to fish, walk on Florida beaches and travel. He was up for any adventure and had a quite a few stories to tell about his experiences. He will continue to be with us through our memories and laughter and wonderful times together. Although our hearts are broken, we celebrate his life and know that he is still watching over us.

Funeral services will be held on March 9th at 11 AM at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Road, Centennial, CO 80122.
