Minnetta M. Groom

Minnetta M. Groom, 83, of Denver, passed away July 4, 2012. She was born October 26, 1928 in Baltimore, MD, to Earl and Mary Lowery. She moved to Denver in 1972. Minnetta volunteered at the Denver Public Schools while her sons were attending. She enjoyed reading, and was a collector of Chesapeake Bay lighthouses. She will be remembered as a great wife, loving mother, and wonderful grandmother - a strong leader in her family. She is survived by her husband, Fred; sons William F. (Lynda) and Jeffrey L.; grandsons Adam J. (Erin) and Jeffrey A. (Yvette); great-grandson Jack William. A Memorial Service will be at 11:00 AM Friday, at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Memorials may be made in her honor to Shriner Hospitals, c/o El Jebel Shrine, 4625 W. 50th Ave., Denver, CO 80212.
