Monica C. (Beck) Christ, 84, of Highlands Ranch, passed away January 4, 2011. Monica was born in Otter Creek, Iowa in 1926, to Anita (Driscoll) Beck and Leo Beck on the Beck family farm. She was the second to the youngest child, in a family of five children. Monica was working for Ma Bell Telephone Company when she met David E. Christ. Monica married David on May 10, 1947 at St. Patrick's Church in Dubuque, Iowa. David and Monica's five children where all born in Dubuque. The family then moved to Omaha, Nebraska in November of 1960 for David's job as a salesman for Continental Coffee Company. After three years in Omaha, David was offered a job as the district sales manager in Littleton, Colorado, and the couple and their children moved there in October of 1963. Monica was a homemaker and devoted her life to raising her children, and to being a dedicated Catholic. Monica will be remembered for her love of her family, and her selfless dedication to her husband and her home. Monica was a person everyone enjoyed talking to and spending time with. Monica was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, David; by her son Jeffery; by her brother, Milton; and by her sister, Leota. Monica is survived by her brother, Willard; by her sister, Lavonne; children Gary (Patti), Greg (Marlene), Connie (Jim Ballard), daughter-in-law Julie, and Beth (Danny) Willcox; grandchildren Micki, Kelly, Danny, Katherine, Alexis, Danny, and Jessie; great-grandchildren Taylor, Riley, Logan, Christian, and Braedan; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass, 1:00 Monday, January 10, 2011, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 South Quebec Street. Committal of Cremated Remains, Chapel Hill Cemetery.
