Mosese Foakilau Fifita, age 87, passed away on December 6, 2015 in his home in Aurora, Colorado, USA. Mosese also known as Foaki, was born on September 23, 1928 in Koloa, Vava'u, Tonga Island, of goodly parents Makisi and Melenaite Halapupuahi Kaufusi Fifita. He was from a family of 3 Sisters and 4 Brothers. He was the last of his siblings to pass. He attended Makeke High School, and then chose to be a farmer to help his family. He married Mamata Sipinga Fakava Havea of Tu'anekivale, Vava'u, on March 24, 1958, and later solemnized in the Tonga Nuku'alofa Temple. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Our beloved father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and a son of God, was a very Faithful and Humble man. He loved his family. His kindness brought his family, relatives, and friends as close as a brother or sister. His counsel to his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren is: 1) get an Education, 2) serve a Mission, and 3) marry in the Temple. He served in many positions in the Church. He also served a mission with his sweet wife in Niuatoputapu, Tonga Island from 1964 to 1966. He was a Mayor for his village of Koloa for 10 years. He was Koloa's finest and hardest worker. He migrated with his family to Aurora, Colorado in 1990. His beloved wife passed in 2001. The last time he was able to travel to Koloa, Tonga Island, was in 2014. He returned with some complications with various medical conditions. He loved his family and He loved God! Foaki is survived by his children: daughters, Tangikina (Taani Sanft), Meleseini (Motuliki Fifita), and Ematisi (Kelekolio Kivalu); sons, Duane (Jeanie Loquist), Tevita (Faafetai Satele), Latu (Amanda Pearson), Simote (Lavinia Hola), and Peni (Rosetta Walters). He has 53 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. He is blessed to have so many relatives: cousins, nieces, nephews and all of their children. ""We Miss You and Loved You so much, Grandpa."" ""'Ofa lahi Atu"" A viewing will be held on: Saturday, December 12, 2015, from 9:30-10:30am. The Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 am. Both will be at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 950 Laredo Street, Aurora, CO 80011. Burial will be beside his wife, Mamata at Fairmount Cemetery, Denver, Colorado.
