In Loving Memory of our Beloved Son, Husband, Father, Brother and Friend, whichever name was used, Ken, Kenny, Kenneth, Murr or Murray, you were loved in every way because you were always full of love and kindness. To lose you is a pain that is hard for us to endure. You were always so kind and accommodating to us, always asking if we needed anything, or is there anything we need done around the house, especially concerning our cable TV. You were our rock and joy. To say that we are heartbroken is an understatement; but, to say that our love for you is still strong and will remain with us year after year is a “true statement” from our hearts. We will always love and miss you!!!
Mom and Dad: Murray Kenneth Douglas entered this world on Monday July 27, 1970 at 8:00 am to proud parents, Murray K. Douglas and Martha A. Douglas. He was born at Mercy Hospital in Denver, Colorado weighing in at 9 lbs. and 1oz. Ken attended St. Pius Elementary Catholic School from 1976 to 1984 and was baptized, received his first communion, and was confirmed at Saint Pius X Catholic Church in Aurora, Colorado. He then went on to Montbello High School in Denver, Colorado from 1984 to 1988. He was involved in football and skiing. Ken attended Colorado University in Boulder, Colorado, majoring in computer Technology, which prepared him for a career in cable technology at Direct Cable TV as a Senior Cable Technician. One particular cable assignment was at his wife Danielle’s house –and as they say “the rest is history”.
His career in Colorado allowed him to travel to other states such as California, Idaho, Wyoming, Iowa, Montana, Nebraska, and the Dakota’s. Our favorite memories of Ken’s childhood are many. He loved toy cars and trucks, which advanced to his getting a fancy dirt bike and finally a car of his own. He mostly hung out with his buddies during high school and college. He loved to read books, which were many, and to talk about information he learned from watching the History Channel and any programs or books that had interesting information. His favorite pastime was Recreational Vehicles, mostly the new RV type. Especially the few times the family rented an RV to go to the Balloon Fiesta in New Mexico. One thing Ken and his son Micah, enjoyed so much was the “Thursday Night Dinners” ritual we had going on for over thirty years. He always told us how much he appreciated that and looked forward to it every Thursday.
When Ken got older, his focus turned to God. He read Bible stories and scriptures. He was a deacon at Colorado Community Church. He was always kind to everyone he met, because he felt that was the right thing to do. Sadly, on Thursday, October 6th, 2022 at 9:00 p.m., Murray departed this life at Vibra Hospital in Denver, Colorado at the age of 52. We thank everyone for all the prayers and condolences for our loss. We really appreciate the kindness and love.
