Myong Sun Kim Fails, daughter of Kim Chon Suk and Song Hi Bok and a beloved member of her community, passed away on September 10, 2024, in Denver, Colorado. Born in Seoul, Korea, on October 2, 1944, Myong was known for her strength, her courage in breaking social barriers, her fiery spirit, her warmth, dedication, and her love for those around her.
In July 1965, she married Louis Arthur Fails, a dedicated US Army serviceman. Together, they embarked on a new life in the United States, where she raised her family. She cherished her family and devoted herself to creating a nurturing and welcoming home. Her passions included long walks around Standley Lake, gardening, cooking, and caring for her plants, all of which were integral parts of her daily life.
Myong is survived by her daughters Paulina Sun Kim Delora, Mioki Rai, Shari Renee, Me Young Hea, and her son Louis Arthur, Jr., along with her eight cherished grandchildren and her significant other Michael Neely.
