Myrah Overland

Myrah Kristine Overland, 72 years old, died peacefully at her home in Denver on July 9, 2022.

Kris was born March 15, 1950 in Denver, where she lived all her life. A graduate of East High School in 1968, and the University of Northern Colorado in 1972, she was an elementary school teacher in the Denver Public Schools until she retired.  After college Kris lived with and cared for her parents, Suzanne and Lawrence Overland, who preceded her in death.

Kris was a faithful member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and was a willing volunteer in many church activities.

Survivors include her sisters, Julianna, Denver, CO and Elizabeth (Gene Collerd), River Forest, IL; her nephews and niece, Martin Collerd (Santina Wortman), Suzanna  Collerd (Juan Pablo Galvis), and Lawrence Collerd (Laurel Krabacher); and grand nieces and nephews, Mirabelle and Anthony Collerd, and Calixto and Fausto Galvis Collerd.

A memorial celebration will be held at 5:30 pm, Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at St. Paul Lutheran Community of Faith, 1600 Grant, Denver.  Relatives and friends are invited to stay for dinner at the church following the service to be together and share memories of Kris.
