Myrna Lou Ditter, age 85, passed away on January 23rd, 2023. She was born to the late Irwin and Lucille Grossklag on June 29th, 1938, in Kansas City, Missouri. Myrna graduated from North High School, Class of 1956. It was there that she met her future husband Raymond (Jim) Ditter. Myrna and Jim were married for 61 years. She was a stay-at-home mom for many years, then entered the workplace again as a loan officer and then getting her Series 7 license while working many years for Kirkpatrick Pettis. Myrna then took over the Church secretary position at First German Congregational Church (now Fellowship Covenant Church) and held that position until her retirement.
Myrna enjoyed cooking, needle point, sewing, and especially quilting. As a loving and involved grandmother, she introduced her grandchildren to numerous arts and crafts, puzzles, activities, and her love for cooking. Myrna was active in the church and participated in the bell choir and a quilting group which provided quilts to local charities. She was also a proud Member of the Colorado Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Myrna is Survived by her Husband, Jim Ditter, her two sons, Paul Ditter and Thomas Ditter, Tom’s wife Tina Ditter, and four Grandchildren, Justin Wedow, Nicholas Ditter, Virginia Ditter, and Alyssa Ditter. She was preceded in death by her parents Irwin and Lucille Grossklag, and a brother, Irwin Lloyd Grossklag.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of everyone that knew her as well as those that were lucky enough to meet her in passing.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, February 11th at the Fellowship Covenant Church (5615 W. 64th Ave, Arvada, CO 80003).
