Myron Alexander

May 28, 1960 — February 4, 2022

It is with bowed heads and heavy hearts that we share a moment of silence to reflect on the life of the gentle man, Myron Glen Alexander.

Myron was affectionately known as “Glen” to his family, and as “Ron” to his close friends. Myron was brought into this world on 05/28/1960, his date of sunrise, by an affectionate and caring mother, Gladys Carter-Raj, who preceded him in transitioning into the Good Lord’s caring hands.

Born in Marshall, Texas, Myron developed his love of the Texas land, culture, and sense of community. Myron always remained connected to Texas even after he left at a young age. He returned yearly to spend time with family and enjoy time in the woods hunting, pursuing his true passion.

Myron was also a rabid University of Washington Husky football fan and wore his purple team colors proudly to visibly display his loyalty and support!

Myron lived a full, rich, and deep life that involved a heart filled with care for others through thoughtful acts of selfless service. Myron’s life of service began in the United States Air Force where he sacrificed his safety, security, and comfort so that all Americans could live under a blanket of protection from harm and outside threats. Myron was extremely proud of his military service and was honorably discharged as a Lieutenant in good standing. Myron extended his life of service and sacrifice on a global scale and wished to continue serving in a local community-oriented capacity by joining the Denver Sheriff Department prior to serving in the Denver Police Department since 2007.

Myron was a private person, yet he had an intimately close circle of family and friends that he shared his life with. Raymond, Myron’s cousin, and his wife Linda have fond memories of his yearly visits over the Thanksgiving holiday. During these trips they shared in quality family time and created strong bonds that lasted a lifetime. Myron was so close with his friend Ed, that they referred to each other as brothers. Their close connection and brotherhood began over 30 years ago, and they were intentional about being a constant presence in each other’s lives. Ronnie was a consistent presence in Myron’s life as well and were as close as two friends can be, and they affectionately considered each other cousins. Myron also shared his heart and soul with his girlfriend Mariana. Together, they created wonderful experiences and new memories that brought them closer together. Myron’s daily life was shared with his near and dear work friends who were family to him. As a family, they leaned in and leaned onto each other for safety, security, and support in the good times, and lifted each other up in the bad. Joe, Josh, Anthony, and Vince all hold Myron’s memory close and carry him tightly encased in their hearts, minds, and thoughts. They are grateful and blessed for the cherished time they spent with their loyal friend and brother, Myron.

Myron’s soul left his body and has been delivered to the hand of the Good Lord on 02/04/2022, however his life, his story, his heart, his personality, and his friendship will never be forgotten. Myron left a positive impact and impression on all those he encountered. His presence will forever be engraved on the hearts and minds of his friends and family and his spirit and love will be carried on and spread by all who knew him.
