Myung " Kimmie" Horning, 85, departed this life on December 4, 2020. She was born January 18, 1935, in Korea and came to the U.S. in 1958. She loved the U.S.A. and was so proud to be a U.S. citizen. She was a longtime resident of Colorado, and lived at Harvard Square retirement community in Denver.
Kimmie was a wonderful and extraordinarily kind and loving woman, and a joy to all who knew her. Words cannot express how much her family and friends loved her and how greatly she will be missed.
Kimmie had many interests, including music, art, traveling, cooking , gardening , fishing, dancing, walking, and spending time with her friends and family. She really loved baseball, especially the Colorado Rockies. She was an avid fan of technology, and was prolific on Facebook. She loved to chat and text with her loved ones via social media. She was a licensed cosmetologist, and also worked many years in customer service.
She is survived by her two children, five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren , two sisters and two brothers and their families, an aunt, numerous cousins, nieces , nephews, and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Horning (1971), her longtime companion William Roush (2014), her parents, two brothers, and great-granddaughter.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, December 15, 2020, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., at Horan & McConaty , 111500 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora, CO. Private interment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, Denver, CO. For those unable to attend a livestream of the visitation is available.
