Nancy Marie Amore (King) passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023 at sunrise at the age of 58. Her shining smile, positivity in life and caring heart will be missed. Nancy lived a fulfilling life as a loving wife, a mother, and grandmother to many furry grand-animals. She enjoyed long bicycle rides, tending to her garden and spending summers in the mountains at the family cabin in Lake Granby. In the fall of 2022, she was diagnosed with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Throughout the nearly 14 month battle with this aggressive form of cancer, she focused on making every moment count by making memories with friends and family. She faced the disease with grace, strength and optimism- with the hope to better the statistics, which she was able to achieve, proving her strong will and determination.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Patrick and their puppy Mikko, son Brian and wife Neila, and daughter Melanie all local to the Denver area. She is also survived by her brother, Russell King of Eau Claire, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Jean King, her sister Gayle Hardy, and brother Greg King.
Funeral services will take place on January 13, 2024 at 10:30 am at Mount Olive Lutheran Church located at 11500 E Iliff Ave in Aurora, Colorado. A celebration of life luncheon will follow. Nancy will be laid to rest alongside her parents in Madison, Wisconsin at a later date in spring/early summer 2024- times and dates TBD. In lieu of sending flowers, please make a donation to Mount Olive Church or to Pancreatic Cancer Research in Nancy's name.
