Nancy Tucker Arneson

July 10, 1936 — June 13, 2010

Nancy Tucker Arneson was born July 10, 1936, in Omaha, NE, to Gale and Marge Tucker. Nancy attended Benson High School and went on to attend the University of Nebraska-Lincoln from 1954 to 1957. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 1959 with a BS in Education. In 1982, Nancy completed Graduate Work in Education from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. Nancy joined Alpha Phi Fraternity in 1954 and it was the start of a life-time love and commitment. She held various international offices including Vice President of Collegians and National Pan-Hellenic Delegate. Nancy was also very involved with the Alpha Phi Chapters in Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Colorado. In 1984 through 1996 Nancy taught in North Platte, NE. For most of her tenure Nancy was an English teacher and Cheerleading Sponsor at North Platte Sr. High School. Upon her retirement from teaching, she moved back to Denver and began another chapter of life. From 1998 to the present, Nancy was very fortunate to have worked for the Institute of International Education as a Volunteer Coordinator and in Donor Relations. Other organiza- tions and volunteer work are, but not limited to, Tour Guide Colorado Rockies, Chapter DT of P.E.O. Sisterhood, Central City Opera Volunteer, National Western Stock Show Volunteer, Alpha Phi Boulder Corporation Board Member, Miss Nebraska Chaperon to the Miss America Pageant, & Community Theatre in North Platte, NE. Nancy Tucker Arneson is survived by her children, Tucker Glen Arneson of Fort Collins, CO, R.G. Arneson of Denver, CO, Abbie Gail Titze of Mitchell, SD; her daughter-in-law, Julia Allen Arneson of Fort Collins, CO, her son-in-law Chad D. Titze of Mitchell, SD; her beautiful grandchildren, Sara Arneson, Catherine Arneson, Reed Arneson, Gavin Arneson, Caroline Titze, and Samuel Titze; one brother Tom Tucker of Carlsbad, CA; her children's father, Richard Arneson of Parker, CO. Memorial Services will be 2:00 PM, Saturday, Montview Presbyterian Church, 1980 Dahlia, Denver.
