Nancy Ann Bennett, 78 of Aurora Colorado passed away peacefully at home on March 24, 2021.
Born visually impaired on September 28, 1942 in Livermore Maine, Nancy attended Perkins school for the Blind and graduated from Hinkley High School. She learned sign language and went on to work as a teacher’s aid at Baxter School for the Deaf from 1963 to 1968.
In 1966, she married Richard Bennett. They had two children and in 1976, relocated to Lewiston Maine to follow Richard’s career path. There she trained for and became a Certified Nurses Aid.
Nancy’s thirst for new experiences brought her to Aurora Colorado in 1993 where she worked for CitiCorp. Once her husband retired, he joined her there to be close to their children and permanently settle down.
She is survived by her daughter Andrea, her son Bill, grandchildren Lynn, Bill, Lisa, Josh and Jake along with 8 (soon to be 9) great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard.
The memorial service will be held on Friday, May 7, 2021, at 2:30PM at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. (at Parker Rd.), Aurora, CO 80014.
