Nancy Elaine Bruny

Nancy Elaine Bruny passed away on January 31, 2018 at the age of 89. She was preceded in death by her parents; Russell B. Branner, Helen V. (Neff) Branner, and brother; Elwood Branner. Nancy is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ross Bruny; Daughter, Karen Bruny; Son, Jeff (Kim) Bruny; grandchildren, Kayleen (Bruce) Malcolm, Kyle (Mindy) Bruny; great-grandchildren, Solomon, Glory, Caleb & Kaden; and her brother Robert (Mildred) Branner. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends. Nancy was born in Timberville, Virginia on January 4, 1929 and married her loving husband, Ross, on November 29, 1952. After many moves throughout their marriage, the family settled in Northglenn, Colorado in 1970. Nancy was a dedicated, loving wife and mother. She loved painting, especially china and porcelain and was a member of a local china painters guild. She enjoyed travel and visited foreign countries and all but three states within the U.S. She was a member and supporter of the Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association of Northglenn (CPAAAN) for over 15 years. Nancy was also a lover of animals and strong advocate of animal rights. Giving many volunteer hours to local shelters. A Celebration of Nancy’s Life will be held on April 21, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, Colorado In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Nancy’s honor to The Best Friends Animal Society, 5001 Angel Canyon Rd, Kanab, UT 84741 or online at bestfriends.org.
