Nancy Jean Anderson Burns, 90, beloved wife of the late Raymond J. Burns. An 11 year resident of Colorado, died on Jan. 12, 2015 in the home of her daughter and son-in-law Julia and Tom Downey, following complications from a recent illness. Born on Dec. 8, 1924 (1) and raised in Xenia, Ohio, she was preceded in death by 6 of her 9 siblings. Meeting her beloved husband, Raymond, in Philadelphia, they spent almost 50 years of their married life in Valley Forge, PA. She had many interests including being a pianist and a piano teacher, exercise instructor, painting, gardening and working professionally as a Registered Dietitian as a Long Term Care Inspector for the State of Pa. She leaves behind her four children, Anne (Bob) Bradshaw of Davidsonville, MD, Marycarole Goodrich of Norristown, PA, Doug (Patty) Burns of La Veta, CO, and Julia (Tom) Downey of Foxfield, CO; grandchildren Meghan, Patrick (Lydia) and Jay Bradshaw, Christopher and Noel (Melissa) Swartz, and Caroline Downey; siblings William Anderson, Dorothy Hein and Elizabeth Anderson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Loreto, 18000 E Arapahoe Rd, Foxfield, CO, Wednesday, January 21, 2015, 10AM.
