Nancy Calkins

Nancy Johnson Calkins of Denver, CO passed on October 29, 2010 at home surrounded by family. Nancy was born March 16, 1927 in Portsmouth, OH to Kenyon M. and Lena H. Johnson. Nancy graduated from Marjorie Webster College in Silver Spring, MD. She eventually settled in Denver, CO in 1953 and has resided there ever since. Nancy embraced life and celebrated it with her family and friends. Over the years Nancy volunteered for several organizations and belonged to various golf leagues, bridge and book clubs. Survivors include four daughters: Lindsey Sullivan and husband John; Tracy Heller and husband Ron; Kenyon Rasnic and husband Ron; and Dana Griffis. Also surviving are six grandchildren: John L. Sullivan, Jason M. Sullivan, Trevor J. Heller, Sean K. Heller, Danielle J. Heller and Ariel L. Lawrence and three great grandchildren Noah, Townes and Adeline. A reception will be held in the home on Saturday, November 6, from 3-6 p.m. Graveside services will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Portsmouth, OH.
