Nancy Goodyear

Nancy Sattley Goodyear passed away unexpectedly on October 15, 2022, at the age of 89 in Aurora, Colorado. Nancy was born on March 29, 1933 in Chicago, Illinois. During her high school years she moved with her family to Huntington, NY. After graduating Kings County School of Nursing, she and her friends hit the open road and ended up in Denver. She met the love of her life, Tom, while skiing on Berthoud Pass. On November 24, 1956, they were married at North Presbyterian Church in Denver. She worked as an RN at Denver General Hospital with the majority of her career at the University of Colorado hospital in the NICU all while raising her children. Her life was full of faith and kindness. Nancy loved traveling the world, especially Germany, where she was happiest spending time with her family in the beautiful town of Minden.

She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Tom: her children Paul (Karen), Drew (Sara), and Amy (Mike), her 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and her beloved dog, Piper. She was blessed to have her entire family in the Denver area. She is also survived by her sister Sharon Owens of Tequesta, Florida, many nieces and nephews, family members, and friends.

Celebration of life will be held at Faith Presbyterian Church, 11373 East Alameda Ave., Aurora, CO 80012, on Thursday, November 10, 2022, at 10:30.
