Nancy MacGregor Greenwood died on June 10, 2022 at the Medical Center of Aurora in Aurora, Colorado. She was 91 years old.
Nancy was born April 5, 1931 in Medicine Lodge, Kansas to Riley MacGrego and Alice(Martin) MacGregor. She was a retired schoolteacher.

Nancy was born and grew up in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.  She was a member of the Methodist Church.  Nancy attended the University of Kansas. She was a member of Kansas Chapter of Delta Gamma Sorority.  After graduating from the University of Kansas with a degree in Art Education, she married Jack Greenwood of Kansas City, Kansas.  They moved to back to Medicine Lodge, Kansas to build their life and family..  She was a junior high art teacher.  Nancy was active in the community in many ways.  She was a Sunday school teacher at the Methodist church and sponsor of MYF at the church. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother. A long-time participant in the Medicine Lodge Peace Treaty Pageant. Member of DAR. Lifelong and active member of the Republican Party. She was President of the Kansas Chapter Delta Chi Mothers Club. In 1986 Nancy and her husband Jack moved to Colorado.  They both worked in the mortgage financial industry.  She was active in the Colorado Republican party.  She was a member of Cherry Creek Republican Women Club.  And Cherry Creek Republican Quilters. She was a proud wife and mother.  She loved her dogs and horses.  Through her life she had many boxer dogs and participated in showing her boxers at AKC affiliated dog shows.  She also loved to travel.  She visited many of the 50 states and many countries around the globe. She was a proud American who loved her country and the blessings that come with being a U.S. citizen. Her life was blessed with the love of family and friends.  And a life of laughter and faith.

Nancy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jack E. Greenwood. Her first-born son Riley MacGregor Greenwood. Her Parents, Riley MacGregor and Alice Martin MacGregor. Her brothers, Bill {William} MacGregor, John ReQua. Sister, Comora MacGregor Nash. Sister-in-law Barbara Hagan MacGregor.

Nancy is survived by her son Jack Martin (Marty) Greenwood who lives in Aurora, Colorado.  Daughter-in-law Diane Blurton Greenwood of Valley Center, KS.  Grandson Jack Riley Greenwood.  Her last boxer dog, Jayhawk who is cared for by her son Jack. Her beloved brother Riley ReQua of Kansas. And many nieces and nephews of an extended family across the many corners of Kansas and America.

Colorado Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 28th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO.

Kansas Funeral services will be held at the Methodist Church in Medicine Lodge, KS.  Interment will be at Highland Cemetery, Medicine Lodge, KS.  The dates and times for the Kansas services are not yet determined.

Horan and McConaty Funeral Home, Aurora, CO is in charge of the Colorado arrangements.
