Nancy McNaul, 96, passed away on December 2, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul, and her sister, Marge Ann. She is survived by her sister, Bun, her four children, Mollie, Erin (Mark), Tim and Kerry (Todd), her six grandsons, Justin (Anjanette), Casey, Ryan (Kelsie), Jared (Katie), Bret (Robin), Jordan (Sara), and her three great grandchildren, Heidi, Thomas and Finley.
Nancy was born in Hutchinson, Kansas in 1928. She attended Hutchinson Junior College, and St. Elizabeth’s Nursing School. She went on to work at St Elizabeth’s Hospital in the Pediatric ward during the Polio epidemic. She would entertain her “kids” by reading and acting out stories and taking those that were mobile to the park, to the zoo and to local concerts.
She married Paul in 1956, and went on to raise four children in Oklahoma City, settling in Denver, Colorado in 1977. She was an avid volunteer in PTA, Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and was a staunch advocate for the special needs community, always encouraging inclusion.
She loved to spoil her grandsons with pizza, McDonalds and Mountain Dew and watching her “handsome young men” playing video games, jumping on the trampoline and finally settling down starting families of their own. Her great grandchildren were the light of her life. Family meant everything to her.
Memorial donations can be made in her name to Developmental Disabilities Resource Center (DDRC), Colorado.
Please share memories and condolences with Nancy's family by signing the guestbook.
