Nancy Harris Ocrant Born in Buffalo New York September 4th, 1931 to Max Harris and Sara Spindelson. Passed away February 9th, 2012. Last resided in Denver , CO . She is survived by her devoted daughter Sara Jeanne Stump and son Ian Ocrant. She was preceded in death by her not forgotten son, Andrew Ocrant. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Kasey, Alexandra and Dylan Stump. She married Lawrence Ocrant in 1951 and had 3 children, and graduated from Syracuse University in 1953 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting and illustration. She subsequently divorced. Nancy embarked on an Adventure called Life. She went to Israel in 1970 and later went back to live for a short time. She had her own art studio on Pearl Street . She had several gallery showings and was seen around the Denver art scene in the 60's and 70's. She designed restaurants, office buildings and homes. She taught interior design at Colorado Institute of Art. In the early 80's she fell in love with Mexico and the culture. She resided part of her year in Mazatlan and part in Aurora Colorado and then later went inland to an artisan's colony in Ajijic Jalisco , Mexico on Lake Chapala . She took and taught art there as well as winning awards in photography and other art presented. She had her own gallery there for a time. She loved the warm weather and hated the snow. When the weather is permitting we will take Nancy 's remains to a warm place.
