Nancy Jane (Voth) Poysti, 44, of Denver, Colorado, passed away suddenly of cardiac arrest on Saturday, November 29, 2008, at 5:01 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital, Denver. Visitation will be at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home 1091 South Colorado Boulevard, Denver, CO 80246 on Saturday, December 6, 2:00 - 3:30 PM. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Saturday, December 6 at Pathways Church, 1595 Pearl St., Denver, Colorado 80203, with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. Memorials may be given toward the ongoing medical care of her 9-year-old nephew, Matthew Janzen, who had a tumor removed from his spinal cord in October 2008. Nancy Jane (Voth) Poysti was born September 28, 1964 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of Vernon and Alice (Thiessen) Voth. She grew up in Golden Valley, Minnesota and then in Mason City, Iowa, where she graduated from Mason City High School with honors in 1982. She studied at North Iowa Area Community College, Ravencrest â Estes Park, Colorado, and the University of Colorado at Boulder where she graduated in 1989 in Applied Mathematics. She has taught mathematics, worked in banking, administration, and real estate. She married Charles Poysti in September 1985. Nancy loved life, friends, family, music and dance. She is survived by her parents, Vernon and Alice Voth, her sister Wendy (John) Janzen, Charlie Poysti, and many nieces and nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles, and one grandmother.
