Natalie S. Morris

June 29, 1920 — October 30, 2013

Natalie Storer Morris died peacefully at home on October 30, 2013 after a brief illness. She was born June 29, 1920 in Kansas City, MO to Richard Milton Storer and Helen Rohrs Storer, both of Denver, CO. After attending East High School in Denver, Natalie ""Nonnie"" journeyed to Mills College in Oakland, CA and then back to the University of Colorado, graduating with a degree in Fine Arts (BFA). She formed many lifelong friendships in Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority and her Bridge Club. Natalie lovingly supported husband Bob's career with Mountain Bell Telephone while moving from state-to-state throughout the Rocky Mountains from Texas to Montana. They raised three sons, instilling values of hard work, perseverance, education and a love of the outdoors. Natalie and Bob were accomplished fly fisherpeople, especially enjoying fishing at the Wigwam Club along the South Platte River. Natalie was a renowned member of the Colorado Potters Guild, producing pottery in her own studios at Carbondale then Denver. People throughout the Rocky Mountain area display and use her pottery. Natalie made and kept many friendships throughout her life, some dating from her earliest days in elementary school. She was a central and unifying figure for all her family. She is a role model and inspiration for us all, and we will miss her. Natalie is preceded in death by beloved partner and husband Robert V. Morris of Denver and two grandchildren. She is survived by sisters Reyna Rohrs of Silver City, NM and Gretchen Evans of Denver, by three sons, Dick, Chris and Peter together with their wives, and by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Services will be private. In remembrance, please consider a donation to your local Hospice.
