Nathan Griffin

October 1, 1969 — May 15, 2023

Our beloved, Nathan Lamar Griffin, passed on May 15, 2023.  Though he is no longer with us, we’ll always have memories of his love of family, his playfulness, his smile & laughter.

He was born in Jacksonville, Florida, to Herman & Cheryl Griffin, on October 1, 1969.  Being the son of an Air Force dad, he lived in San Antonio, Tx, Spokane, Washington, Germany, and finally Denver, Colorado.

While growing up, he developed a passion for sports and became very athletic.  He played little league baseball, track & field, and high school football.

He attended college at Florida State University, in Tallahassee, Fla., where he became a diehard Seminole fan.   Afterwards, he worked several years as a travel agent.  Later in life, he worked in the student loan industry, as well as an array of other jobs.  His hobbies included bowling, shooting pool and going to car shows.  He never met a car show that he didn’t like.  He was an avid Dallas Cowboys football fan.

As he matured, he met his one and only Christina Vigil, who became the love of his life.  He planned to marry and spend the rest of his life with her.  Unfortunately, the Pandemic put their wedding plans on hold.  But he loved her until his dying breath.

In addition to his Mother & Father, Nate leaves behind: his sister, Cynthia Coon (Chad); nieces, Maya “Roswell” and Giana Coon; nephew, Griffin Coon; aunt, Katherine Youngblood (Kevin), Jacksonville, FL; uncles, Willie Pelsey, Tangier Perinet, Keith Pelsey (Candace), Kevin Pelsey (Nancy), Jacksonville, FL; Christina Vigil (Fiancée) Denver, CO; Jesse Trujillo, Alex Taylor, Madison Joey “MJ” Trujillo.

Among Nate’s many friends were Julas Hollie, Billy, Julie Windey Bowman, Arik and Elias.

Rest in peace, our dear son.  We’ll miss you so much & will always love you.
