Nathan Mark Osburn

June 12, 1975 — January 10, 2018

Nathan Mark Osburn, 42 of Arvada, CO passed away January 10, 2018 as a loving husband, father, son, brother, and friend, whose warmth and kindness will long be remembered. Nathan was born in Merced, CA on June 12, 1975. He has resided in Indiana, Arizona and most recently loved calling Colorado home for his family. Nathan graduated from Lincoln High School in Vincennes, IN, and then furthered his education from the University of Southern Indiana with a BS in Business Administration. Nathan excelled in his work as a Certified Financial Planner. Nathan married his soul mate Julie Anne Blanchard in 2004. While living in Evansville Indiana, Nathan and Julie expanded their family by four children and became part of the Corpus Christi Community. Nathan and Julie found their ideal place to reside in Colorado where they pursued their passion of hiking, camping, and the great outdoors. Nathan and Julie have been welcomed by the Shrine of Saint Anne Community in Arvada. Nathan is survived by his wife, Julie Anne Blanchard; his sons Ryder Phoenix (13), Anderson Mark (11) and Kai Joseph (8); his daughter Stella Elizabeth (4); his parents Judith and William Kotter; his brothers Bart Osburn and his wife Jessica, Jeff Kotter and his wife Jennifer, Barton Kotter and his wife Kim, and Bernard J. Osburn; his sister Lana Osburn; and numerous nieces and nephews. Nathan was preceded in death by his father Bernard C. Osburn. Nathan’s warm and easy manner was his gift; friends, strangers and colleagues found him easy to befriend. When not engaged in outdoor mountain activities, Nathan was a devoted family man and was found supporting, coaching and photographing his boys in their many sports and academic activities. He experienced his first dance recital for his daughter this past December. Nathan’s greatest stories were of his activities with his wife and children. An avid vintage VW owner, he enjoyed the concert scene and strumming his guitar. Nathan has touched many lives. He taught people to invest not only in money, but to first and foremost invest in family, friends and strangers. In his life and death, Nathan taught us to genuinely care and fiercely love, to invest in the beauty and simplicity of every moment that is offered to us on this earth.
