Neil Frederick Route

Neil Fredrick Route, age 74 died in his assisted living facility on February 18, 2024.  Neil graduated from Arvada High School and later went on to earn an Associate’s Degree in Electronics.  

Neil was a Colorado native where he met and married Patricia Plakorus Route.  They have been married for 53 years.  Neil served in the Army for 2 years which included Viet Nam.  He retired from Coors Brewery Company in 2012 with 20 years of service as a Fire Control Technician.  

Neil enjoyed photography, computers, wood working, fishing and gun safety.  He is survived by his wife, Patricia, son, David (Elizabeth) of Henderson, Co, daughter, Tracy Chavis of Fredrick, Co, four grandchildren and sister, Erica Roby. 

Neil was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Evelyn Route and sister, Stefanie Trembly.

Funeral services will take place at Horan & McConaty, 7577 W. 80^th Ave., Arvada on Monday, February 26, 2024 at 10:30am.   Burial services will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery, 4400 W. Kenyon Ave, Denver Co at 12:30pm.  A reception will be held afterwards for anyone interested in attending at Rich and Joanne Hansen’s home, 7894 Ulysses Street, Arvada, Co
