Enjoyed golf, hating to be beat by his grandson Kenneth. He was an accomplished silversmith. Designed and built 3 homes, including an octagonal home, where he raised his family. The family lived in Boulder in 1950 to 1965. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland moving to the United States when he was 6 years of age and was raised on Staten Island. Jenny and Campbell Fyfe were his uncle and aunt and raised him. He moved to Hamilton, Ohio where he met his wife. They were married 65 years. He worked as an engineer in a munitions plant that outfitted submarines in WWII. He retired in 1983. He was a construction superintendent for the Boeing 747 plant in Everett, WA. He traveled the world as a contract engineer for the Austin Company until he settled in downtown Denver where he worked on several projects until retirement in Arizona.
