Nelson William Vetanze, age 74, passed away on February 3, 2021 in Lone Tree, Colorado.
Nelson was born on April 28, 1946 in Martin's Ferry, Ohio to Manuel and Mary Vetanze. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah (Debby) Vetanze, daughters Ashley Gehrke and her husband Todd, Jessica Holt and her husband Lance, and son Mario Vetanze and his wife Lauren, Grandchildren McKenna, Macy, Ruby, Joey, and Pierson, as well as his sister Madeline Dinapoli. Nelson is preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Mary.
Nelson was an incredibly successful man completing his education to receive a Doctor of Chiropractic Degree. He continued grow in his success by ultimately becoming the owner of his own chiropractic office called Omni Chiropractic. He was a member of numerous organizations including the Colorado Chiropractic Association and the American Chiropractic Association. Nelson was granted the honor of receiving the Chiropractor of the Year Award from the Colorado Chiropractic Association and was also the former chiropractor of the Denver Broncos.
Outside of his professional life, Nelson lived life to the fullest and had many hobbies. He enjoyed bowling, golfing, fantasy football and fantasy baseball and horse racing. He enjoyed vacationing at his home in Arizona, soaking in the sun in the pool. Out of all the things he enjoyed, the thing he loved the most was watching his granddaughters preform and play sports and spending time with his family.
A private Funeral Service to honor Nelson's life and legacy will take place at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church on Thursday February 18, 2021 at 10am. Following services at Christ the Savior, a graveside ceremony will take place at Olinger Hampden Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests friends and family make a donation to St. Jude's Children Hospital or The Cancer Research Institute.
