Newell "Les" Hancock

Newell Leslie “Les” Hancock of Westminster passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022. He was 79.

Les was born on April 13,1943 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania but grew up in the Reno/Tahoe area of Nevada. He graduated from the University of Denver with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. After college, he served in the U. S. Army as a member of F Troop during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of lieutenant. He will be buried with full military honors. After earning his CPA certificate, Les worked as an auditor for over 40 years before retiring.

Les was preceded in death by his wife of over 50 years, Margaret. He is survived by their three daughters and four grandchildren.
