Ni Moise Tibi Abam

Former Austin, Texas resident Moses T. Abam, 57, died September 15, 2016 with family by his side in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Moses Abam (fondly called Ni Moise) was born September 1, 1959, in Mankon-Bamenda, Cameroon, to Pa Jacob and Mama Magdalen Abam both of blessed memory. He attended Primary School (PS) Azire, and Providence Commercial College (PCC), in Bamenda. After secondary school, he worked at City Chemist Pharmacy before moving to the United States in 1985. He lived in Austin Texas until May 2015, when he was taken ill. He was diagnosed with a massive brain tumor, and subsequently moved to be with family in Denver, CO, where he finally answered the Divine call on Thursday, September 15. Ni Moise was a very kind and friendly man in his community as testified by all who knew him. He was a very caring father, a loving brother, a generous uncle, who's fun-loving, and a reliable friend. He was a great football (soccer) player; he played for his school teams and for the First Division team PWD Bamenda of the then North West Province. He later got admission and moved to the US to attend the Saint Edwards University in Austin Texas, where he also played soccer. Ni Moise was a hard worker and a fighter. After school, he opened and ran a restaurant, and other small businesses in Austin for several years before he finally took ill. Despite the odds, he still fought very hard in his sick bed and in agony. Indeed he was last to give up when he answered the divine call. He leaves behind a 13 year-old son, Jake, whom he so fondly talked about, his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and several family members and friends to mourn him. The memories of the time shared with him are priceless, and will remain with us forever. Ni Mo, you have left a huge vacuum that will never be filled. Adieu, until we meet again to part no more. Visitation of family and friends will be held in memory of Ni Moise on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM at the Horan & McConaty HeartLight Chapel, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave. Aurora, CO 80014. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following at 5:00PM at the same chapel. Please share memories and condolences with the family below.
