Nicholas Howard Harmon, 60, died at his home in Lakewood, CO on Sunday, July 24, 2011 after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was born May 24, 1951 in Billings, MT; the son of Howard Herrold Harmon and the late Eleanor Inez Mimmo Harmon. Nicholas graduated from Billings West High with the class of 1969. He attended college in Montana then served as a hospital corpsman in the Navy. He graduated from Colorado University in 1977 and obtained licensure as a Certified Public Accountant. He worked for both public accounting and private firms throughout his career, retiring in 1997 due to his increasing disability. Mr. Harmon is survived by his wife, Susan Joan Lozier Harmon; son, John Nathaniel Harmon; his father Howard Harmon and stepmother, Frances Harmon; his brother, Dennis (Nancy) Harmon; stepbrother, Lee (Connie) Cameron; parents-in-law, George and Patricia Lozier; sisters-in-laws, Kathleen Lozier and Margaret (Peg) Lozier; nephews Timothy (Alethia, Gabriel and Matthew) and Robert Harmon; niece, Carrie Harmon; cousins Rita Hove, Jackie Roose, and Nikki Shorts. A Celebration of Mr. Harmon's life will be held Monday, August 1, 2011, 10 a.m. at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel located at 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO, with a reception there following the service. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery after a private family observance. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to the Rocky Mountain MS Center, 8845 Wagner St., Westminster, CO 80031.
