Nicholas Laurienti passed away September 2, 2009 from natural causes. Maestro Laurienti founded the Denver Opera Company in 1975 and continued as the Conductor and Artistic Director until his death. Survived by son Matthew Boller; life partner Thomas Boller; brother John Laurienti and his wife Kathy, sister Josephine Longo and her husband Ray.
