On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, Nicole Ann Termeer, loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, and friend, passed away at the age of 34.
Nicole was born on January 28, 1989, in Denver, CO, to Douglas and Mary Termeer. Nicole attended Aurora Public Schools, where she graduated from Rangeview High School in 2007. She then went on to attend Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services in 2021.
God blessed Nicole with a servant’s heart, where much of her work history, along with her education, was focused on helping others. Nicole’s work history includes being a Youth Counselor/Advocate at Excelsior, where she worked with young girls facing social, emotional and behavioral issues, a Personal Development Mentor at Spectrum, where she supported various clients who needed physical and behavioral assistance in everyday life, a Mental Health & Substance Abuse Social Worker for Goodwill of Colorado, where she helped individuals and families who were facing many challenges cope, and most recently was a Hospitality Desk Supervisor at the Denver Rescue Mission, where she supported the “New Life” program that helped the homeless in downtown Denver.
Nicole had a beautiful smile and an infectious laughter. She was an advocate for mental health and one day wanted to create her own non-profit organization. She was an incredibly gifted and talented musician, and was happiest when she was singing, playing guitar/piano, or songwriting. Nicole loved God, her family, her friends, being “Aunt Ni-Ni,” being a Godmother, her precious Penny (dog), watching Batman movies and the Friends sitcom, musicals, her Tribe family, and so much more.
Nicole was preceded in death by her older brother, Douglas Jr., her Pompa, Granny, Grandpa, and Grandma. She is survived by her parents, Douglas & Mary Termeer, her siblings Brad (David Ramsay) Termeer and Joseph (Katie) Termeer, her nephews and nieces Joseph Jr., John, and Lucille Termeer, and many other family and friends.
