Nobu Champoux

December 8, 1935 — May 10, 2013

Nobu operated a family owned school supply store in a local high school, as well as helped in her father's business. Her father, Seiki Iwato, was a Tsurukawa Police Chief until the end of WWII. After he retired from the police department, he opened a real estate business. Her mother, Katsu (Sato) Iwato, was a nurse and homemaker. Nobu met and married an United States Army serviceman and moved to America where she worked in the food industry and raised their two sons. She is survived by her husband, George; sons Edward (Kelly), and Howard; and brother Shigenori Iwato, who still resides in Japan. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, May 16, 2013, 3:00 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora. She will be laid to rest at Ft Logan National Cemetery following a Committal Service Friday, May 17, 9:15 AM, Staging Area C.
