Norlin LeRoy Lemcke passed away on the morning of June 5, 2006, one month before his 66th birthday. Norlin was born in Pierre, South Dakota to Christian and Julia Ward Lemcke. He served in the U. S. Army and Amy reserves which included a tour in Formosa (Taiwan). He worked for Allied Van Lines for over 20 years, receiving many commendations and eventually serving as the manager of dispatch services. In 1972, Norlin married Marion Dillman, Omaha, Nebraska. After many years of happiness, she preceded him in death in 1999. Norlin moved to Denver, Colorado where he was actively involved in the American Legion Post 1992. He brought life to many occasions and especially enjoyed getting together with his American Legion friends for camaraderie and refreshments. He had been known to slip the occasional quarter into a slot machine in Black Hawk, Colorado. Norlin loved children although he had none of his own, and he cared deeply for his many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews. They will continue to remember him in love We know that Norlin will be reunited with Marion as well as his mother, father, and his brothers James and Delaine and nephew Kurt. He leaves behind his sisters Lorraine Koehn, Janice Spilde and Cheryl Schalde., an Aunt, Mary Ward, nieces and nephews, Jo, Joni, Janet, J. J. Karl, Kent, Kim, Kevin, Kirsten, Chris, Rich and Sally and numerous great nieces and great nephews. We're going to miss you, guy!
