Norma Glaser

August 15, 1920 — September 14, 2009

Norma A. Glaser, 89, a Denver native, died peacefully on Monday, September 14, 2009 of natural causes. She was born to Matilda & Henry Ramer on August 15, 1920. She was married to Melvin Glaser for many years. She is survived by one brother, Walter Ramer of Denver, two children, Barry (Charla) West of Oakdale, CA and Barb (Chuck) Danford of Littleton, CO. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and twelve great grand children. Norma was a wonderful mother & sister, devoted grandmother, caring great grandmother, and dear friend to so many. Norma worked as an Executive Secretary at Denver Urban Renewal for 19 years. She was a member of Young at Heart at Bethany Lutheran Church and an active member of the North High School Class of 1938 Alumni Group. She was also a proud member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood. Norma sang with the Harmomics singing group as well. In her free time Norma enjoyed traveling, needle work, crochet, bowling and reading. The glorious sounds of the Big Band era could always be heard echoing through the halls of her home. Norma touched so many lives with her sweet smile and gentle way. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered. A memorial service to celebrate Norma's life will be Saturday, October 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at Horan & McConaty, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. A light lunch will follow. A private internment service will be held at Bethany Lutheran Church Memorial Gardens, 4500 E.
