Norma Jean Whelan

On Friday, January 24, 2017 Norma passed away in Denver, CO. Norma was born on June 23, 1923 in Topeka, KS. As the wife of a USAF career officer she lived in several states and Europe. Upon Ted's retirement, they returned to their beloved Denver, CO where she lived until her death. Norma was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Maj. Joseph ""Ted"" Whelan USAF Ret. She is survived by her twin brother Frank Caldwell (Lola), 2 sons Bruce (Susan) and Mark, and daughter Teri Yeargan (David), 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Funeral Mass celebrating Norma's life will be Tuesday, February 7 at The Church of the Risen Christ at 10:00am. Graveside services will be at the National Cemetery at Fort Logan at 2:00 p.m. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Norma's memory to your favorite charity.
