Norman J. Brouillette, 85, died July 10, at Cherrelyn Healthcare Center in Littleton, CO. He was born November 11, 1923 in Campbell, NE, to Hector and Laura Choquette Brouillette. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy at the age of 19 and served as a radioman aboard the USS Boxer and the USS Duxbury Bay during WWII. After his discharge, he returned to Hastings, NE, where he married Maxine Davis at St. Cecilia's Church on October 18, 1949. The couple made their home in Hastings, moved to Cheyenne, WY and settled in Denver in 1967. Norman worked for Burt Chevrolet for many years and retired in 1988. He became ill in 2005 and moved to Cherrelyn Healthcare Center where he resided until his death. Survivors include his daughter, Charlene Huntley of Cheraw, SC; sons Jerry (Nancy) Brouillette of Louviers, CO; and Tom (Tina) Brouillette of Columbia, SC; a sister, Jolene Duddek of Hastings; five grandchildren, Denise Byrd of Cheraw, SC, Susan Toole of Aiken, SC, Tyler Brouillette of Denver, CO, Jesse Brouillette of Lafayette, CO and Amy Brouillette of Sandpoint, ID ; five great-grandchildren, Justin and Pat Byrd, Anna Winstead, Tyrus and Norman Teague Toole; sisters-in-law Adella Brouillette of North Platte, NE and Mary Lou Brouillette of Hastings, NE. A great-great-granddaughter, Allison Jean Winstead, will be born in early August. He was preceded death by wife, Maxine, grandson, Jason Brouillette, his parents, and seven brothers, Jerry, Bob, Gil, Phil, Hector Jr., Vernon and Rolan.
