Norman E. Day

November 25, 1928 — May 5, 2015

Norman Eugene Day of Englewood passed away on May 5, 2015 at Garden Terrace Alzheimer Care center of Aurora. He was 86. Norm was born November 25, 1928 to J.W. (Bill) & Lucy V. Day of Denver. He graduated from South High School in 1947. Norm served in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War. He worked in Real Estate, Insurance, and Food Service. He retired from Beatrice Foods, and traveled in their motorhome for seven years. He drove for Enterprise leasing for 17 years retiring again at 80. Norm married Kathryn A. Fritts in November of 1952. They had 3 children, Pamela Workman (Pat), Greg Day, Kimberly Condreay (Gary). Nine grandchildren; Brandon Workman (Megan), Christian Workman (Chelsea), Jonathon Workman. Neal Day (Erin), Caitlin ""Kiki"" Day, Bailey Day. Curtice Condreay (Stephanie), Lacey Alesch (Jonathan), Kyle Condreay. Five great grandchildren; Camdyn and Jackson Condreay, Morgan Alesch, Emory and Adalie Workman. Norm loved to dance, play golf, ski, travel, fish and camp with many friends and family. Norm was very active at Englewood United Methodist Church, sang in the choir for 50 year and served on numerous committees. He was also very active in the Englewood Elks Lodge #2122. Norm was preceded in death by his parents, Brother Robert Day, and numerous friends. Norm will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
