Norman was born in Rising Star, Texas on June 10th, 1929; he broke his earthly ties in Lakewood, Colorado on April 22nd, 2009. Following graduation from Putnam High School in Putnam, Texas in 1945, Norm enrolled at A&M College of Texas (now Texas A&M University) in the Engineering College, located in College Station, Texas. Norman attended Texas A&M University until he answered the call by his nation and enlisted in the U.S Army in 1950. Norman served a tour of duty in West Germany. He received an Honorable Discharge when he left the Army reserve as a Sergeant in 1956. He went on to receive a Bachelors of Science degree from his beloved alma mater Texas A&M University. The then embarked on a distinguished career in the insurance industry. Norman started his career in commercial insurance sales with Liberty Mutual in Fort Worth, Texas. In 1960, Norman relocated his family to Denver, Colorado where he led the regional office for Liberty Mutual. In 1972, he and a partner founded Keller-Lowry Insurance in Denver. Norman retired from Keller-Lowry Insurance in 1995 to spend quality time with his family and friends. The company still bears the name ""Keller-Lowry"" today. Norman travelled extensively in retirement, touring Ireland, Germany, France, England, Australia, and the USA. Norman is survived by his loving wife Margaret (Meg) Lowry, two daughters, Karen Barnes of Evergreen Colorado and Kimberly Lowry of Tucson Arizona, and a son, Dirk Lowry of Lakewood Colorado. Norman leaves behind four Grandchildren: Melissa Brewer, Rebecca Albano, Joshua Lowry, and Liam Lowry, and two Great-Grandchildren: Briley and Kayelyn Brewer.
