Norman Erick Waugh

Norm passed away peacefully at Lutheran Collier Hospice on February 21, 2024, at the age of 89. With an unwavering love for God, family, church, and friends, he ran the race well and finished strong! Norm was born on July 24, 1934 and raised on a farm in Great Falls, Montana. He moved to Colorado to attend college at the University of Denver, where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Business Management.  He enlisted in the US Navy Officer’s Candidate School in 1956. Serving in the Navy Reserves for 28 years, he attained the rank of Captain. While stationed in Hawaii, he met the love of his life, Lynn. He and Lynn were married in Hawaii in 1959.   They returned to Colorado in 1961. He and Lynn settled in Arvada in 1974 where Norm was a Real Estate Broker for 30 years. Norm and Lynn had two daughters, Karen and Norma.  Karen passed early in her life, in 1997. Norma and her husband, Luke, live in Arvada and have twin sons, Cameron and Kyren. Norm and Lynn shared 56 ½ glorious years together until Lynn passed of Alzheimer's in 2016. Norm was very involved in the lives of his twin grandsons. He loved those boys!! He was passionate about his family, his church family and church involvement, stamp collecting, fishing, camping, mission trips to Naomi House in South Dakota, genealogy, jigsaw puzzles, and rock hounding. He was a loving father and grandfather.  Friendly, outgoing, kind and loyal, he was loved by all and will be dearly missed until we see him again in Glory!

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 beginning at 10:30am at Christ Community Covenant Church, 6757 Simms St, Arvada, Colorado 80004.
