Norman Lee Wiesner, age 81, passed away January 4th 2014 at his home in Arvada, Colorado. He was born August 29th 1932 to George and Virginia Wiesner in Ellis, Kansas. After high school, he enlisted in the Marines. While on leave, he married Alfreida Rohr, the love of his life. After his service in the Marines, they moved back to Hays, Kansas and he eventually accepted a position as a machinist in Wichita, Kansas. They relocated to Colorado where he worked for Stanley Aviation and Sundstrand Aerospace. While in Colorado he enjoyed bowling, golfing, raising his children and watching his family grow. Norman and Alfreida enjoyed 55 years of marriage before her death. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Alfreida Wiesner. Beloved father to Linda (Steve) Shimeall, Joyce (Robert) Childerston, Karen (Roger) Barbich, Greg (Pamela) Wiesner, Patricia (Jim) Moore, Michael (Tara) Wiesner. He was blessed with the love of 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Also survived by his brother Don (Myrlin) Wiesner, sister Jeanette Kitchen, as well as many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his brother Verlyn Wiesner. The Celebration of Life for Norman will be held on Saturday, January 11th 2014 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, (at 80th and Wadsworth) Arvada, Colorado. The family extends an invitation to join them for a reception to be held directly following the Service. He will be cremated and intered with his wife at Fort Logan National Cemetery.
