P. Joanne Deck

P. Joanne Deck, passed into the arms of our Lord Dec. 3, 2017. She was born to William and Julia (Hayslip) Schafer May 8, 1925. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Schafer, sisters Gertrude (Gertie) Hoddy and Madeline (June) Glass. She leaves her husband H. Lee Deck, daughters Patricia (Pat), Rebecca (Becky) and Barbara Deck and granddaughters, Taylor, Michaela, Chloe and Mia Deck. Joanne was a home maker and worked in the cashier’s office and inventory at the downtown Denver May D&F. She was also a victim’s advocate for a time with the Broomfield, Co. police department. Joanne and Lee moved to Payson Arizona after they both retired. They returned to Colorado in 2000 to be closer to family. A small family service with be held at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, 9203 S. University Blvd., Highlands Ranch, CO. 80126, December 21, 2017 at 1:30 pm. Internment will be in The Cremation Gardens at Horan & McConaty, 5303 E. County Line Rd., Centennial, CO. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
