Pamela âPamâ Jane Caldwell passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the age of 68 in her home with family and friends by her bedside in Highlands Ranch, Colorado. She will be remembered for her endearing sense of humor, love for her family and extraordinary strength. Pam was born on September 7, 1949 in Beardstown, Illinois by Dr. Robert Spencer. As fate would have it she would later marry his son, Stephen Spencer, and spend 46 wonderful years together enjoying vacations all over the world and raising their two children. After graduating from Jacksonville Routt High School in 1967 she went on to attend St. Johnâs Nurses School in Springfield, Illinois. Well-known as a hardworking nurse throughout her life, even into her last months, Pam was beloved by her fellow nurses and remained close with many of the doctors she supported throughout her career. Pam was a perfectly imperfect friend, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, mother and wife. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband Stephen Spencer, son and daughter-in-law Phillip and Leonna Spencer, daughter and son-in-law Katie and Aaron Facchinello, grandchildren Jack and Isabella, cousin Cindy Farmer, who she loved like a sister, siblings Pat Crudup, Jim Caldwell, Chris Caldwell and nieces and nephews. However, they remain comforted in the fact that Pam was met with open arms in heaven by her mother, Laura Abbott Caldwell, who passed away when Pam was a child, her father, A.B Caldwell, and step mother Mary Whalen Caldwell. A celebration of Pamâs life will be held at 3pm on Saturday, February 24, 2018 at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 5303 East County Line Road (West of Holly Street), Centennial, CO 80122. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in Pam's memory be made to the American Cancer Society so that other families may be spared the heartache of losing a loved one too soon and the Denver Hospice so that others may find the same comfort that Pam did in her final days and hours. Please share your condolences and memories of Pam with the family in the guestbook below.
