""You are a Lady, a legend in your time⦠And you are the only one, who'd stand by us through thick and thin, always within an arm's reach away. And now I know, that God didn't make too many ladies, quite like you, and I know it'll be a long, long time, till he makes another lady quite like you."" - R2 Pamela Joan Twogood aka Mom was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on December 13, 1944. She is the Daughter of Joseph and Mabel Vera Weeks Bartkus. She was the youngest of 3 children. An avid baker and a wiz in the kitchen, there was never a disappointed stomach to be found. Pam was also quite the writer, although never published, she wrote a book about her life as seen through her eyes. Full of fresh and original humor, she could have given Erma Bombeck a run for her money. Another milestone in her life was meeting Dad, while he was on leave in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Pop spotted Mom in a Telephone Booth talking to Grandma (Bamba) and told his buddies ""See that beautiful girl over there? I'm going to marry her"". So he walked up to the booth and began to push on the door, of course irritating Mom... who, finally opened the door and said ""Go away""! My Dad, not taking no for an answer, showed up at Sunday services to ""schmooze"" with Grandma...Just long enough to burrow his way into her heart forever. Mom and Dad spent 51 years together until his death in 2010. Mom and Dad had four sons; one went into the Furniture industry, one into Operations, another into the Military/Aerospace industry, and one into Teaching. Mom, along with two of her Sons, were stricken with Adrenomyeloneuropathy (AMN). Mom was told that not only did she have the debilitating disease, but also that she was a carrier as well. Pam is survived by three sons, Roy Jr. (Theresa) Twogood, Randolph (Carol) Twogood, Shawn (Sylwia) Twogood; grandchildren, Aubrey, Jacqueline, Ashley, Shawn II, Evan & Lukas; and great-grandson, Christian. Besides her husband, Roy, she was also preceded in death by her son, Joseph Twogood; sister, Beverly Kniess and brother, Sonny Bartkus.
