Parker Douglas, 81, passed away Aug. 30. Parker is survived by his children Carl, James, Susan, Diane and Brian, and grandchildren Benjamin, Melissa, Caitlin, Douglas, Matthew, Camille, Jackson, Sonya and Karen. Preceded in death by his wife, Frances. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Parker loved golfing, barbequing, fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Born and raised in Meeks, Georgia, Parker attended Berry College before entering the Air Force. Following twenty years of active service, he retired and moved his family to Aurora, Colorado where he went on to own and operate a highly successful ServiceMaster business for over twenty years. He resided at the Cherry Creek Retirement Village in Aurora. Visitation, Thursday, Sept. 3, from 3 - 6:30 PM at Horan & McConaty, 11150 E. Dartmouth Ave., Aurora. Funeral service, Friday, Sept. 4, at 10:00 AM at Burns United Methodist Church, 1095 Newark St., Aurora, followed by burial at Ft. Logan National Cemetary at 1:15 PM, Staging Area ""C"".
