Pat Pappas

August 26, 1932 — February 29, 2016

Pat Pappas passed into God's loving arms on February 29, 2016 where she will be reunited with her husband, Tom, in heaven. She was born August 26, 1932 in Sterling, Colorado and lived most of her youth in Denver and Littleton, Colorado. Upon graduation from high school she married her first husband, Al Demery, and they lived in east Denver and Aurora. She worked for the Colorado Women's College, at various companies as an HR Counselor and sold real estate in the Denver area. Upon marrying Tom Pappas, they moved to Santa Ynez, California in the mid-1980s. Upon the passing of her husband, Pat moved back to Colorado and worked for Hughes Aircraft in their HR Department until her retirement. Pat loved to dance and taught dancing for many years with many of her students winning area talent competitions. She was also an avid Denver Broncos fan. With declining health, she was able to live long enough to see her Broncos win another Superbowl. Pat is survived by her son Phil Demery and his wife Marlene of Santa Rosa, California; her daughter Michelle Herring and her husband Tim of Castle Rock, Colorado; her grandchildren Lindsay Robbins, Ariana Demery, Preston Herring and Parker Herring; her siblings Nanci Mink, Virginia Plutt, Greg Gulick and Cynthia DeBoer. A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Ivy Chapel, Fairmount Cemetery, 430 South Quebec Street, Denver, Colorado with a graveside service to follow.
